If memory serves, if you select the soft button under "Ignore" when the calibration error comes up, the keyboard will boot normally, just without the use of the keyboard itself. I found this out when using a VFX-SD on a gig before we actually knew what the keyboard problem was. This would have been in 1990 or 1991 I believe. I had to MIDI the VFX-SD to a Yamaha DX-7 and play the VFX from the Yamaha. It worked fine. Maybe this would still be the case in rack-mounting the VFX. I would love to actually see one completed because it would be something I would want to do as well. Now I have to find another VFX-SD...... I only have one now: sold the other about 2 months ago..... Grace, Harry
