I'm thinking it probably was an EII. It's just a guess, though. I have an EII+ (as well as a CMI IIx) and I've always thought that it kicks the crap out of the CMI sample-quality wise. I mean, I love my Fairlight and all but I think the EII is by far the best sounding 8-bit sampler. MUCH longer sample time too. Too bad the file handling's so wretched.
