You're right about the EIII. I have the keyboard version as well. One of my all time favs besides the IIx. Maybe some Sequential folks started working for E-mu then!!! The Studio 440 is the MG of the sampler world. (No offense to MG owners..I'm fixing a friends) The EII is my least favorite of the older E-mu's. I prefer the Emax I. I'm still betting it's Fairlight on that Depeche track!:-) -- In Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com, "David Bulog" <d2ba@x> wrote: > I have an EIII keyboard and that is a great sound. Let me tell you a fact--The EIII was rushed to market too early and not a single EIII that left EMU ever worked 100%. > Every single one of these beasts had a fault---the most common been bad memory chips, faulty keyboard, switchs not working intermittly on front panel!!!! > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Blue 17 > To: Fairlight-CMI@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2005 10:05 PM > Subject: Re: [Fairlight-CMI] Re: Fairlight Serial numbers > > > I'm thinking it probably was an EII.
