Hello Tim,
The rev 6.03 use the Q777 card as SCSI controler. I believe
the upper version kept the Q777 but used the CMI-41 as SCSI
controler.
In my CMI the Q777 is connected to an Adaptec board which
is a ESDI/SCSI converter. This board is driving two Maxtor
XT-1140 ESDI hard-disk.
I believe, the main problem with the Q777 board is that it
is only able to drive SCSI HD which are hard formatted with
256 Bytes sectors. All modern HD are formatted with 512 Bytes
sectors and do not accept the 256 Bytes hard format. There are
a few information about that on KMI web site but if anyone
has more info on that subject, I be interested to hear about it.
Regarding your question, what jumpers are you interested with ?
I may be able to check the Adaptec config. But regarding the HD,
it you require that you use the same model as mine...
Best regards.
