Fairlight-CMI

I've almost finished restoring a Fairlight CPU Card for the Series IIx. The only thing that still 
needs to happen is burning the EPROMS.

I've got an EPROM burner but it doesn't support 2716 or 2516 type EPROMS, only 27C16.

The service manual says that a 2716 or 2516 eprom needs to be used.
Can anyone tell me if it's also possible to use the 27C16 as a replacement?
