This particular unit was bought in France. On quite a few drives you could whip the drive pulley off the spindle, flip it over, and use the 50Hz or 60Hz step as appropriate. They had strobe lines engraved on them so with a fluorescent light you could tell if they were running at the correct speed, or near as damn it. -- Gordonjcp MM0YEQ
