Using a 2.5kW CO2 laser you could probably directly cut the copper layer of the PCB without any need to etch it! What kind of paint do you use as a resist?

I have one similar to that but with the Quad and SOIC tips. Takes me longer than 20 seconds to remove a 28 SOIC. Haven t tried to remove a QFP44 just yet.
