Definitely, brake fluid is not necessary. If your board is clean ink sticks good enough. I am only using it while printing on the other side of 2 layer pcb

I had previousy tried the dye based ink from the R220. Yup, it just washes away. The carts that came with my R220 are going to my wife for use with her R220.
