First attempt at resist Scribing,,,,,

Using my CNC machine, I made my first attept at resist scribing. For 
a resist I used Dykem (commonly referred to as machinist bluing). I 
then machined up a spring loaded scribe that would fit in my 
spindle. From that point on, it works as if you are doing isolation 
milling.

It didn't work as well as I had hoped, but that is not to say there 
is any specific reason why it wont work.  There were atleast two 
problems I oberved from watching the process.

1) My machine is moving a bit too fast for it to complete each move 
before moving onto the next position. This is a constant velocity 
routine I need to tweak more in my motion control software.  I also 
had it moving at 40IPM during the motions.  I will be trying lower 
velocities to see how the motions differ from the higher velcities.

2) The scribe I machined up has just a bit too much slop in it. I 
decided to go with a spring loaded scribe so that it would handle 
variations in either the macines table or even the stock thickness.  
The problem is I bored the mating hole a bit too big in the holder 
so I will have to make another one or try to stake the hole so it 
fits a bit tighter.

It all comes down to the following/tracking error at 40IPM, what is it? 
I take it this is a closed loop setup.

Not closed loop - open loop, stepper driven.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
