The left strip is the channel for the selected track.  The right  
strip is the main output, and will show up on the right for each  
track using that output.  It's just like the main on a mixer.

Going up from the fader on each audio object, you have
1.   the circle with a number in it.  That's the pan rotor.
2.  Automation mode.  Says "off" if you are not automating that  
track.  Click and hold makes a menu to select the automation mode you  
want (Read, Write, Latch, Touch)
3.  Core Audio object name.
4.  Routing for output.  Not a button.  Usually says "Out 1-2".

Hopefully one of those is the output number you are referring to.

That's the automation button.
