Open the Terminal utility, then type "sudo periodic daily" and your password.
then "sudo periodic weekly", then eventually (10 minutes later when it
finishes), "sudo periodic monthly". These are the routine adjustments that the Mac
OS is supposed to make at 3 am if you leave your computer on all the time.

It seems like you have some serious problems. The only other things I can
think of :
- try running disk warrior and/or micromat techtool on your disks
- try removing some ram in case you have bad ram

You might need to backup everything to an external (or 2nd interior) drive
and then wipe the disk and do a clean install. Before you do that, you can do
this trick which an apple "genius" told me - is create a new user as a fresh
start and re-install Logic for that new user.
