I also have a Kenlowe electric fan fitted (no mechanical fan), controlled by a thermostat linked to the top radiator hose. During most use, the fan doesn't comes on except when I'm stuck in stopped or very slow moving traffic on a hot day. If the situation persists for half an hour or so, the engine will eventually get so hot that I have to turn the engine off or pull over to let it cool down. In the last ten years I've only been in that situation once, so it really hasn't been an issue. Unfortunately though, whoever wired it, has it come on as soon as you turn the key to the first position, not controlled by a thermostat as you would think. No overheating problems so far, but it hasn't been all that hot here since I got the car either. I'll check tonight to see if I can make out the manufacture and all that. Most likely controlled by a thermostat. Has anyone else done this?? If Tad is lurking around maybe he can provide us some info on the mfg., install, cost, etc. I have no overheating problems now but it would be nice to do away with the fan (less work for the engine). Victoria British sells a kit in either 10" or 12" size. Don Lattimer #3M5759 V6 Willits, CA Yahoo!
