Due to the fact that the Model 1 connects to either a Deopfer, Analogue Solutions or Analogue Systems power buss, any improvement it could bring to quell ground noise gets washed out with those buss board's daisy chained grounds. - --- In PLAN_B_analog_blog@yahoogroups.com, "Don

But lemme defend MX224 with one point. Doepfer A-138c mixer is much less accurate for inverting as signal. MX224 is pretty good for anything but rounting 1v/oct. On Fri, Dec 5, 2008 at 12:38 PM, Argitoth wrote: > Yes, the MX224 is *definitely* bad for 1V/oct signals. For example,

Yes, the MX224 is *definitely* bad for 1V/oct signals. For example, say I route my midi controller 1V/oct out into my oscillator's 1V/oct in. I play C6 on my keyboard. It plays a perfect C6. Now imagine sending the 1V/oct from my midi controller to the MX224 and then to the oscil

I have a number of MX-224's around my modular and they are fine for 1/v Oct. He must have gotten a defective one or had an incorrect patch setup. The Model 31 managed to take over the role of 4 MX- 224's and sticks just as well to equal voltage distribution. Dan http://www.REwire

Elan, could you elaborate on why the MX224 was "not good" for 1V/oct? did it alter the signal? if so did you perhaps measure it? I am interested in the MX224, one of the uses would be for 1V/oct, but mostly as an inverter for envelopes and feedback. thanks, -Haven --- In PLAN_B_a

Nope! and here's why: the 'thing' about the Model 13 is the slowness of the vacs, how it creates this marvelous ringing of short sounds put through it. So, what does this slowness do to DC? It adds a (I dare say) unwanted and non-controllable slew. There's a way to convert it so
