Re: QTR/Printer doesn't print after install MIS 3K inks

2007-10-31 by frankjay02

Thanks for the reply but I do not know how to take off the chips and
put ones back on. I do not own a chip resetter, and I do not
appreciate a company that sells commonly faulty chips that also
apparently damaged my brand new printer. That being said....

The carts are nearly full, I only printed abot 20 prints with them,
Nothing is blocking the contacts unless part of the MIS chips fell
apart.
All the MIS carts had chips.
All was well until I installed the MIS carts.
All OEM carts have chips.
I turned the printer on and off several times.
I checked USB, switched cables,
The QTR rip was perfomring very well. Now, nothing is performing.
I can't do a nozzle check or any check for that matter.

So I guess I call Epson and give them a try. THen call MIS and see
what story I will get about how and why their chips knocked out my
brand new printer. I bought it specifically for BO printing because
of what I read online on a few sites. I bought the MIS carts for the
same reason. I bought the Amadou Diallo book as someone suggested.
Now, I have set of MIS chips that did something to my printer Not so
good of a start of enjoying black and white without that smelly
darkroom.
The rub is this...will MIS fix my printer, will Epson fix it
after I installed non epson carts. So what I have is a brand new non
printing priner and I promised the art dept. in my school I would
donate 5 prints for their fundraising auction by this Friday.
thanks to all for the help folks, I appreciate the speedy replies.
Frank
