Frank, If you are not doing color work with your 1800 you are free to put inks in any slots you want to use. If you want to use Paul's profiles as is then yes you must use the MK, PK, and GL positions for Eboni. My setup consists of Eboni MK in the MK, PK, and Y ink positions with MIS RCNTL_PK in the C, R, and B slots and Glop in the GL position. This lets me do either matte or RC papers with or without glop for the latter. All of the profiles I have put in the archive are for this ink configuration. If you want to use different ink positions just edit the profiles to change the ink assignments. The MIS RCNTL-PK is a neutral photo black ink. They also have a warm and cool PK.
