Mark,Robert
Thanks for your reply's.
I too,amd a novice at b&w digital printing ,but i did spend many years
in a wet darkroom in the 80's.
Here is my workflow:
I edit the image in Qimage{size, crop},actual dimensions I want on my
8&1/2 x11in paper..usually it's 7&1/2 x10...this way I have a nice
even border around the print..then,I sent that file to quadtone, which
only has 8x10 size{not 81/2x11}..i check center, then check scale to fit.
the prints come out....6&1/2 X 10.
the left hand side of the page has a 1&1/4 in border...and the bottom
has a 1&1/2 in border
Can't figure what I'm doing wrong or, is this the way quadtone sizes
the prints automatically?
I'm on windows XP machine
This is not reall a serious issue now, but,
when I start to make 13 X 19 prints ,it could get expensive.
I'm only 2 days using quadtone and making many, many test prints.
will have to buy some more matte paper and ink from inksuppy ,on Monday.
Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
Merry Christmas to all and happy printing
