QW I have used the installation procedure for the Epson 1400 to set up my 1500w. You need to set up your printer by naming it QUAD1400 and using the QTR printer driver for the 1400. I have done this using an Apple Mac with the OSX10.8.2 operating system. I'm not familiar with setting up with a Windows system. Which type of Operating system are you using, Apple or Windows? If the printer is in proper location,ie " Printers and Devices" it will be recognized. I've 2 i400's and have no confusion between which driver for QTR qnd which is for Epson driver.Hope your problem gets resolved. Hi
I can't find a profile for the Epson 1500W. I tried renaming my printer QUAD1400 as suggested in another thread, but this doesn't work.
I want to use QTR in conjunction with PiezoDN inks and am using a Macwith El Capitan.
Any suggestions welcomed.

Hopefully, someone else who has done it will jump in before that. Do you already have PiezoDN? If so, are you aware there is a private forum for PiezoDN users? Response time is usually very fast. ALERT! **** Printer Description File (PPD) not found for printer 1500
First try re-installing QTR via the Install-QTR-###.pkg file

The most recent version of PiezoDN (1.3) has this already set up. Look at the curve folder called "xxx-NON-US PRINTERS” and you’ll see your 1500W in there. I also added this to the download change-log for PiezoDN on the download page. best, Walker

This will not work with the install pkg yet. That is build for the 1430. Simply install the old way by going to Curves > xxx-NON-US PRINTERS > 1500 > and installing with the command. From your comments on the PiezoDN forum it appears that my suggestion did work. I know it has worked for other 1500W users. Just so that we do not leave other folks following or finding this thread with a false impression, would you mind clarifying here what worked for you.
