Hello,
I have been reading the 21 step wedge with the spectrophotometer (eye1). After the reading I
receive a text file. When I put the text file into the QTR-Linearize_Data the 'report' I receive
says at the bottom 'Lab values are out of order'.
After reading the wedge many times I called X-Rite.
By the way I'm using Profile maker 5.0.8. & using the measure tool. In speaking to the tech.
at X-Rite he asked me if QTR is capable of reading this latest version of ProfileMaker. Is
Profile maker's text file giving the information in the proper way for QTR to interpret the info
(text file)?
I have also run a diagnostic check on the spectro. & everything checked out in working
order.
I'm running Leopard.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks
Joel

I also use 5.0.8 and the format is fine as long as you don't include
spectral data.
When you run QTR-Linearize-Data it shows the data that it found in the
file so you
should be able to see if its truly out of order. If the data has too
choppy a line that
also makes it impossible to make a linearize curve - thus giving that
error message.

I am experiencing the sameproblem. I am convinced that the printer is
the problem. Close inspection reveals that some of the darker patches
are indeed lighter than they ought to be.

I am experimenting with letting the ink dry overnight to see if the
problem can arise from rubbing off ink that is not yet comletely dry.

I had to let prints dry overnight when profiling Epson Enhanced Matte -
or whatever it is/was called. ;>)

Even drying it with a hair dryer I could not get linear readings. Next
day - no problem.

Best,
Michael
