It may be one of these hidden files that is corrupted preventing a fresh install. Do you happen to know all the files that are installed so that I can find these manually to get rid of all traces of QuadTone and then start again? That may do the trick since a fresh install on the laptop worked. The laptop also is running Photoshop CS4 and Snow Leopard and also printing to the same printer. The only difference is that the laptop does not have the Epson printer driver installed since I do not usually use it to print to this printer. So the final thought I have is a possibilty of a conflict with the new Epson 2200 driver made for Snow Leopard. Sorry for the lengthy email - just trying to get You all the info. Thanks for all your help. Hopefully I don't have to fully reinstall my entire hard drive.
