Re: Graphix for Serge Comp CD...Les? Johnp?

2002-10-06 by Michael A. Firman

Blake, You should think about using one half of a DSG as the "backdrop". It's more square (i.e. closer to a CD cover) than the NTO and it, in some sense, is more uniquely Serge. -- | Michael A. Firman | maf@... | http://www.mlswebworks.com

Graphix for Serge Comp CD...Les? Johnp?

2002-10-06 by M. Blake Wilson

Friends: Since the new 2002 comp is almost complete, its time to get the cover completed. Frank Moreno has contributed some photos. I have an idea what I think would be a neat cover. At SMOG I've posted a very bad mockup of what I envision: http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/se

I got a new panel a few days ago, it's got the WAD on it. As a flanger, it totally kicks ass. As a delay ... it seems okay. I've been trying to figure out how to use it properly as a delay, esp for DC signals. It seems like there's attenuation thru the delay though, and offsets,

Fixing the Serge, part 378

2002-10-01 by Jim Johnson

Me and my beat up Serge panel.... Now I'm suspicious of the power supply. I hooked it up today, just to check the basic functionality of the PS, and lo and behold: When I hook a DVM to any of the PS pins - + 12, -12, or even 5 V - I hear an audible change in the oscillator pitch.

Hi John, hi list, it's right, the EMS synthis have variable outs. This could be simulated by having attenuators for the inputs of the matrix. At least one of the reasons why matricses are not so widely used, is cost. A good matrix is _very_ expensive. But a good matrix also allow
