I managed to do three pieces on the strip, one at Luxor, three pieces in Red Rock Canyon, and one piece on a dry lake bed west of the Hoover Dam. I don't recommend the Hoover Dam unless you want to to tour the inside of the dam as there are signs everywhere restricting your motions to the parking areas and there is no access to the south side of the dam, thus no reasonable places to do a shoot or play unless parking lots appeal to you. The dry lake bed is to the west of Boulder on the route south to pinnacles and there are three turn offs from the highway onto the lake bed,. It is hot, windy and there are dust devils which I avoided as they were on the north side of the lake bed. Red Rock Canyon is fantastic and the burros are friendly, but they will bite if you offer them a finger and one should never get behind a wild equine unless one wants to be kicked which I saw happen once. My two year old grandson was able to pet them with no problem. If you want, bring some cut up apples and the burros will love you. They are not bashful about checking out the inside of your car either. I didn't play the theremin around them. The Las Vegas police on the strip are very nice - they let me know that you are not supposed to play near the store fronts or properties but where the public sidewalk traffic is. I also got stopped after playing with the Luxor Hotel behind me right near the airport as playing a theremin near an airport is "suspicious" activity and that officer was nice and friendly and just wanted to know what I was doing and what that thing was. I had dyed my hair ultra violet and vampire red and that seems to be a very good idea - wink wink, nudge nudge, know what I mean? Well, what happens in Vegas . . . I will post some of those videos up in the next week or two with the tag line: "To boldly go where no theremin has gone before." And with that, I unsubscribe from the list. Happy theremining folks. /levnetters, knock yourself out! How soon before Pringle and Lester follow you here?
