use non metallic paints - some black pigments are conductive. i would expecct that gold and sliver paints may also be conductive iwould expect that safe non-toxic acrylic paint should be usable. instead of painting the actual theremin, you could just affix wooden or cardboard panels with either glue or velcro and paint the panels. you could also use a canvas, paint it and wrap it around the theremin and staple it to the bottom of the case. both solutions are easily reversable and changeable. my advice is that you really want the audience watching and looking at you, not your instrument. then again, i kow an artist who covers his cars with doll parts, toys, hoses, mannequin parts, gee jaws and spinners. the cars still run fine. rupert --- kelly Xexchron <xymorg@...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > My name is Kelly Xexchron (Xexchron @ The Theremin, > on MySpace), and > i've been lurking here for a while.
