Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hello from Austria/Europe!

I am glad that I have been accepted to be a member of the S1000S1100
group as I am an S1000 owner for about 4 years. I bought my S1000 via
a second hand internet platform like Ebay, added bigger memory boards
(the smaller memory boards are still available if someone needs them).

I have the digital audio interface installed and built a 1 height rack
with a 100MB zip drive and a cdrom.

My backlight is already quite dark so this would be one of my future
"projects" to replace the backlight foil.

Maybe some members remember my name from different other groups like
the Rolandsamplers groups where I am one of the moderators.

The foil isn't too hard to do, and the one from
midi-rakete.de is perfect, not too expensive even for
me  Ha!
You should get a copy of the latest S1000 boot disk,
it's a big help if you want to import from other
libraries, like the brilliant emuIIIx , and of course
Roland 760 etc.

Thats the way I want to go to as I bought the foil from anotherone
and the conects were on the wrong side so that I could not mount it 
below the display.

Which version is the last version? I am asking because I upgraded 
already the eproms to I think V4.4. So I already read Akai S3000 CDs.
But I didn't try the S760 - did not knew that also this is possible.

I'm not too sure about other imported formats now,
because I moved from the S1100 to a S3200 for all that
kind of stuff and then got a Kurzweil which has
consumed me for about 7 months, then Translator pro
landed on the PC and ... you get the picture.

OS 4.4 is the newest I ever had, but 4.anything does
all that import stuff.

OK, so my S1000 is up to date and I will check at least the S760 cdroms as I 
also have the S760 and some cdroms...
