Hi Colin

this micron thing is more confusing that I thought. The
problem only happens when I am arp recording with the micron
in its mix mode, its single program mode is fine. When I
press a note on the micron keyboard in mix mode it is
sending the note out on the first 8 midi channels at once so
the P3 sequence immediately fills up with the same note. I
can't find any place on the micron to adjust this... of
course I want to be in mix mode so I can hear all 8 parts. I
don't understand why its only a problem in Arp record, but
is there a place on the P3 I can make sure I am only
recording one channel?

It seems the Micron must be sending something other than
what you'd expect.
I'd plug it into a MIDI monitor such as Midi-OX, and see
what it's spitting
out.

That's still the current release version.

This is only a problem in ARP mode because the normal record mode is only
recording the most recently received note on each step, whereas the ARP mode
is recording on however many steps it needs to capture every note received.

It became possible to specify a single record channel in the current beta
release - v3.1.006B
No-one has reported any problems with the beta (they very rarely do), so
give it a shot if you want to ARP with the Micron.

I sold my Ion for this very reason. You'd have to set up keyboard ranges
for each of the four parts and then use the keyboard transpose buttons to
select which part you're playing. Extremely lame.

bleep.
out.
