I'm rather mystified by "SPC".
I can see it within the BCR's firmware code, but I don't know how exactly it is triggered.
I suspect it's short for "SPACE", which seems to indicate that the preset being uploaded is somehow too big; that might then explain why the preset doesn't work.
So it would be nice if someone could come up with a preset that consistently triggers "SPC": I could then try to find out exactly what's going wrong here.

By "Update changed" you are referring to "Send modified data" from the "B-Controls" window?
If "SPC" indeed only occurs during this particular operation, there might be a bug in it.
