The wiki format takes a little getting used to. It's great for quickly and easily creating new content, not so great for conversions of existing content. There's an article here that might help: http://openwetware.org/wiki/Converting_documents_to_mediawiki_markup I'm not sure what you wrote the document in, do you have a Word file for it? If yes, I could have a look at converting it if you send the word file to me.
