Nano BCN44 Tutorial (or ANY help)

Nano BCN44 Tutorial (or ANY help)

2009-02-10 by Sonny

Hi guys,
Just bought a Behringer B-Control Nano BCN44. I just want to do a
simple thing with it - control the volume of 4 different patches
within a Performance (Setup) on a Roland Juno-Stage. I'm lost! The
book (to me, anyway) isn't clear at all. There is a Preset called "4
Channel Volume Control". Using that, the furthest I can get is to get
each knob blinking in Edit mode. In the manual, I can't see any
explanation of how to assign (or change) various things to the knobs.
Does anyone know of any Tutorial or video or anything on the internet
that would help me? I googled everything I could think of and can't
find any help - not even a support group for the Nano. This group
seems to be the closest thing, so I'm hoping someone can help me.
Thanks for any help with this!

In the appendix of the manual there are two charts (one for the button
type controllers and another for the rotary encoders). Press "Edit"
and hold it and then trigger the controller you like to assign. Now
you can use the both charts. On the top of each chart you can see,
which buttons and knobs will change which parameters.

If you need further explanations, you've got to wait till tomorrow,
because I have to go to bed now... ;-)

Thanks Stella! I've figured out a lot just by trial and error. One
thing that I found was holding me back was a faulty midi cord, so the
keyboard wasn't responding.
However, I DO have one more question that is baffling me:
When I'm controlling the volume of different patches by the buttons
on the Nano, it's working BACKWARDS. When the light is illuminated
and the Nano screen says ON, the sound of that channel is OFF, and
when the light is OFF and the screen says OFF, the sound is ENABLED.
That is bizarre and I can't figure out how to reverse it. Any ideas?
I assume the 2000 works in a similar manner to the Nano.
Thanks for any info on THIS dilemma.
