For gear like this I like to use a canister style vacuum with a soft brush attachment on the hose. Nothing special just the one that comes with it. The brush is soft enough that it doesn’t scratch anything and the bristles can move the dust a bit so that it gets vacuumed. I even clear LCD TV’s this way. This makes more sense to me than compressed air or anything like that since you are actually getting rid of the dust rather than just temporarily moving it within the room. J
Part of why this works well is that you can actually touch the entire surface you are cleaning with the bristles so you get good seal and therefore good suction. The only downside I have found is that you have to be careful for very loose knobs or slider caps since you can vacuum them right off. The good news is that you can always get them back as long as you notice and are willing to dig through the vacuum bag (I haven’t actually had this happen yet but it’s always a possibility).

Subject: [bc2000] How to clean the surface BCR and BCF2000?
Hi,
My BCR and BCF2000 have been collecting dust and such lately and I want to clean them. I wonder what might be the best way to do so. Especially the small rings surrounding the rotaries are all sticky with dust.
Anyone have a golden tip as how to approach this?
