Does anyone know where the aluminum panel/plate with holes (serge style) can be obtained for mounting the pots switches etc.?

Thanks,
Gary

Hey Gary

I dont know of anyone who offers blank serge panels with holes. Most go to
their local metal shop and have them cut a piece to size then drill the
holes out. Im pretty sure thats what Epinasty did with mine. I could send a
blank template that has the hole layout and size of the panel.

Laser or water cutting aluminum is best for low quantities (as opposed to sawing and drilling). If you can generate a DXF file and email a template with your material thickness, you can email it to a nearby shop for a price (any alloy will do). If you shop around you should be able to get a serge sized panel cut for $40-60 USD, unfinished.

Gary,

You might start with looking at the forums for Muff Wigglers:
http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/

There are a lot of panels that people do and make available.

You might also check Front Panel Express out which a lot of DIYs use:
http://www.frontpanelexpress.com/

You can have a panel cut to size and drilled. Then you can supply the graphics. Or you can use their labeling/engraving. Not cheap though.
