help with super psycho ..easy I know, but

2003-12-07 by Jeff Foster

hi all,

I finaly got back to the bench and got my super psycho module
wired up. The tri wavea are really fat...cool. anyway here is my
question and ple for help...

I used pots with switches on them for each of the 6 voices.
I figured I would save on drilling holes and cost of seperate
switches. The problem is the switches are open with off and closed
when on ( when you turn the pot up ...). The circut requres the off
postion to ground the voices circuit thru the 820 ohm res.

there must be a simple "switch invertor" hack I can use or some other
simple
why to make a normaly open switch normaly closed ...

hope that is clear and any suggestions are welomed. mean while I am
making great sci-fi drones...I also change the glide cap to more of a
tone cap.. 0.47 uf and the overdrven range pot makes for a great
sound. I wired 4 voice for audio range and 2 for sub audio, gies me
some nice options.
anyway ta ta.

A possible solution would be to leave the oscillators running 100% of the
time, and instead cut the feed to the mixers with the switches. You could do
this at the mixer end of the 470k resistor on the SQR wave only outs, and at
the common terminal of the TRI SQR switch on the the other two.

bingo Ken, I was thinking too hard.
thanks for the simple solution
