Re: Spyder3Elite systray icon problem
2013-05-19 by Tom Adams
I would make a copy of the file named tlbpc_asus pa248-1_information.xml ( Ex.tlbpc_asus pa248-1_information.xmlbak ) so you have a backup and then edit the file to the correct date(s) at least until you can get an official response.
Alternatively, you could right click on the tray icon and left click Preferences click the Recalibration (Tab) and under the headers "Check Recalibration Every:" and "Notify if display has not been recalibrated (ReCAL) within the last:" and set them both to a longer duration. This would only stop the warnings (not correct the issue with the file tlbpc_asus pa248-1_information.xml) and you would have to remember to re-adjust them later when/if DataColor corrects the issue.
Personally, I like option 1 :) Good luck!
Best regards,
Tom

I recalibrated yesterday (May 17th), entering the profile name of "tlbmonitor130517", rebooted my system, profile is loaded--"tlbmonitor130517" displayed in the pop-up--but the Spyder3Utility icon still goes to red and I'm still getting the pop-up window telling me I should recalibrate--my new monitor profile has been loaded and Windows Color Management (Control Panel > Color Management) shows "tlbmonitor130517.icm" as the default profile.

Via copy/paste from the xml file, here are the current values:
