Tom,

I'm not a pianist just love the piano and so play midi files. The last 4 or 
5 times I have had company over it has spoiled my "show-off" performance by 
playing F below middle C randomly and much louder than the rest of the 
piece during playback - no matter what files I use, including the pieces 
that come with the piano. However, I can correct the problem by rebooting 
the system and being very careful on the timing of when I turn on the small 
remote. But usually when company comes I'm busy hosting so cannot wait and 
watch for the precise second or two after the green light is on solid and 
before it dims. If I miss that time slot it does its random note thing 
which of course is embarrassing for me when trying to demonstrate how great 
the piano is.

I called technical support who have been excellent. They said it is like 
any computer even though this is running the Lynx system. When have 
problems, just reboot. Usually I don't have time with company so just hope 
they don't notice the random notes but sometimes it is so obvious and I 
have to explain what happened and that it is not normal e.g. I didn't 
follow the precise timing on turning on the remote. If I'm the only one 
with this problem then probably it is not the computer but something to do 
with cross talk to that particular solenoid. But if that is the case then 
how come I can avoid the random notes with precise timing when turning on 
the remote?

I normally keep this expensive piano unplugged so there is no chance that 
lightning could damage the electronics. It is only plugged in just before I 
use it - don't know if that has any bearing on it.
