I filter for the disklavier group using the rule: "sender contains disklavier@yahoogroups.com" OR "To or CC contains disklavier@yahoogroups.com" I do similar things for the Google Groups and the dug group. > If we could do better at putting MK II, Mark II, MK III, Mark III, MK > IV, Mark IV, MK 4, etcetera in the subject line, this list would be > much easier to use. I have a MarkIIXG upright with DCD1 which gives me 99% of the functionality of a MarkIII upright. There is no MarkIV upright, nor are there any plans to create one, so I'm stuck at this level anyway, but it would be really nice if Yamaha was to produce a MarkIV control unit (ala DSR1) which provided the hard drive, CD drive, wireless support, Disklavier Radio, PDA control, new synth sounds, etc. They wont though, so I'm stuck with an early 90's PC soundcard (the DB51XG) in a black, 280KG, \ufffd8,000 UK box :-) > If Yamaha makes different DK's for different markets, they could also > make upgrade modules, whether they be hardware or software. > I guess they would make far more markup on the new Piano than on the upgrade model and so don't see the benefit in spending time and money doing it. It's quite interesting that Yamaha, as far as I can see, still haven't release the source code to all of the GPL components they've used in the MarkIV software though. Perhaps the GPL doesn't apply in Japan? :)
