PRC-100, network is offline

PRC-100, network is offline

2014-11-30 by david.masher@...

Hi Folks, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Quick question my Mark IV will not connect to the PRC-100. I get a message saying the network is offline.

I am pretty tech savvy but can really find a knowledge base that contains this issue and how to correct it. I have tried restarting, making sure the cards we properly seated etc... Thanks for your help!

Power down the piano and disconnect it from AC. Let it sit for about 45 minutes. During this time, flip the PRC100 over, slide the switch from USER OPERATION to REPLACE BATTERY. Take the battery cover off the back of the PRC100, remove the battery, and using your stylus, press the RESET button in the square hole marked RESET. Put battery cover back on, slide switch back to USER OPERATION.

After 45 minutes, plug your Mark IV back in and power it up. After it is powered up, press the STOP button on the PRC100. About two minutes later the PRC100 will be booted and should connect to the Mark IV.

Bill, thanks for your quick response. I tried your suggestion and had no luck. I did notice that the only network the PRC sees is one called "Wireless LAN - TEMP" I don't recall seeing that before. Also I was unable to access through DKV Browser or my iPhone app. I tried switching the wifi cards in the piano and PRC. I don't see the piano on my network any more even when it is hardwired into my router.

Thanks for your help!

David

Update. I was able to access the piano with DKV Browser but still not through the PRC-100

Thanks,

David

David,

Do a Piano Assign. Tap on MENU at the bottom of the screen. Get down by the IO CENTER and tap on Piano Assign. The PRC100 should be able to find the piano (it will show as a DKVxxxxx.)

Bill thanks again for responding so quickly and on a Sunday night! I tried to assign but received this alert message "Not Connecting to Disklavier I/O center. Please check that your Disklavier is powered on, Stand near the I/O center and try again."

It is on and I was under the piano :-) I wonder if the wifi card is fried?

This is not a rush.

Thanks,

David

David,

It does sound like one of your wi-fi cards must be bad. I am sorry we couldn't get you up and running!
