Yamaha Warranty for new owners

Yamaha Warranty for new owners

2000-12-19 by Jessica Mukai

We bought a new DC1A in October from PianoPlus in CA. After 9-10
weeks of waiting, we finally had our piano tuned by a technician. He
mentioned that we should have some type of "warranty" paper or
package by Yamaha. We never received anything from the dealer other
than a receipt. Should we expect some type of warranty package soon?

How does Yamaha track their customer information?

Thanks for your help.

Jessica,

I know of no golden warranty certificate issued, but Yamaha is as good as their
word. Your independent piano technician, hopefully a Disklavier-trained RPT,
will work directly with them on any warranty issues. You should have received a
letter from YCA in Buena Park, CA, by now, acknowledging the purchase--that is,
if your dealer did their duty. I suggest you call 1-800-776-9262 where you will
possibly speak to Yamaha's gracious ambassador, Raleigh Hudson, who will make
things right for you. The corporate number is (714) 522-9011. It may be
helpful to have the S/N of your instrument handy and the name of the dealer when
you call.

Good luck and not to worry!

The dealer sends in the information and we register it. I am unaware of any warranty paper sent to the purchaser. There is a "Thank you for buying a Yamaha" letter that we send out about 3 or 4 months after the purchase.
Nice piano. Call me at 800 854 1569 if you have any questions.

We purchased a DS6-PRO in April of this year but never received the thank you
letter you referred to. Can you check our registration if we provide the
serial number ?
