Larry had a little typo--BBD is what he meant of course. Dana, I think you will be surprised how much this unit sounds like the target sound you are looking for on your current album. This truly provides a classic electronic music sound. It goes great with things like spring reverbs (such as Scott Jusciw's incredible Neural Agonizer). Remember that no one really had digital delay in the late 50s, 60s and early 70s (since this is where I think your music often lies). They did have BBDs for a portion of that time I believe. I am sure someone can better let us know when BBDs came into common studio and university usage. Larry is exactly right! It is kind of crappy in a lo-fi incredible way. Does that make sense? But fortunately not in a digital crappy way. I personally love pairing my modular up with effects that traditionally were used with modulars. Or at least seem like they should have been. I typically go, "Wow! That is how everyone made that sound!" A Dana Tip: Exclamation marks add energy to even the dullest sentences!!! --Todd > Dana, It is a BDD analog unit.
