First off, Janne, thanks for the prompt reply. Okay, I fiddled
around with the Virus. In PATCH mode (only one channel active),
changing the channel which to receive MIDI data on to 2 stopped all
unwanted triggering from the MD. Now, what happens in PERFORMANCE
mode, where I have all 16 multitimberal parts open? Will I again
have problems with unwanted note trigger? I'm in bed right now, so
I'll test it in a few.

I used to consider myself very good with MIDI, but I'm honestly
confused here. Maybe I'm used to my MPC.. it had a drum setting for
internal sounds and a midi setting for external gear.

I understand that, what, the MD has 4 midi channels for its own drums
and etc.. But shouldnt that only matter up receiving midi to the
MD? Why does it matter when sending out data?

Okay, you said maybe to change the default channels for the MD.. what
does that mean as far as how things will be triggered? And
overlaps.. what do you mean by overlap? What are the consequences of
overlap?

 Thanks.
