Well, spending 3 times 32 kb on those 909 samples and ginving them a machine of their own (one that adds an exciter, analogue-like filter, compression, attack, decay, pitch etc.etc.) is something neither a real 909 nor my groovebox nor my sampler can do...allthough the sampler comes closest. It would be a better use of memory in the MD than that silly elvis demo....wouldn't you agree on that? Who wouldn't mind a few extra machines in their MD? I know I wouldn''t. (Am I sounding too greedy??) I did get some very nice results, when trying to emulate the 909...none sounded like a 909 at all but I got some very nice hats indeed.
