I built the synthforum.nl You can build a forum for elektron but you must give users the oppurtunity to upload stuff and keep the forum small e.g. 3 forum

There is a suneshea virus forum that is quite successful. I m not sure if the yahoo group came first or not, but the yahoo group does not have much traffic.
