MM Tutorial- using the sequencer to sequence external synths, drum machine Can someone please give me a step by step tutorial of how to do this? I'm very bad at learning new things if I don't actually see it, but I figured maybe you guys would have a clear way of accomplishing this. As a side note, I can't say enough about how much I love my monomachine. I've probably had it for 6 months or so and it is the most fun gear I have ever owned. Great sounds and getting creative thoughts out has never been easier.

Specifically, what equipment would you like to sequence? /Scott

1. Plug an external synth's midi in to the mono's midi out 2. Function + Trig Select (switches from internal machines to midi machines for the six tracks. Important to note that your internal machines do not stop functioning, they run alongside, though they do share LFOs) 3. Press keys on your mono and you'll hear sound come out of your synth. If this doesn't work, in the global setup for the monomachine there's a midi seq section which defines midi channels for each of the midi tracks (tracks 1 - 6 are midi tracks when you go into midi machine mode). Make sure the midi channel for the track you want to use to sequence the external synth is set to the appropriate midi channel that your external synth is listening to.

Thanks so much for your reply! I'm not at home now, but hopefully I'll be able to try it on my day off. I'll let you know how it goes. I have the MachineDrum and the Monomachine and now have my sights set on a Sidstation. Can someone explain how the waveform-tables work? I have seen it described as a sequencer. Is this accurate? If not, how does it differ from the sequencer in something like...the monomachine? Thanks. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! I've used it to come up with some sick patterns =) --- Joseph Melnyk <jmelnyk@...> wrote: > On Oct 10, 2005, at 5:20 PM, John Gellings wrote: > > > I have the MachineDrum and the Monomachine and now > > have my sights set on a Sidstation.
