'Tis a pleasure Ronald =0)

I think I will have to listen to some of the newer acts you mention. Always
nice to hear something new... As for the step sequencers, I am pretty much
only using them myself now, along with Ableton Live! to sequence audio made
with the step sequencers and have found it much more natural (I used to make
pretty pictures with Cubase, but not pretty music =0). Best of luck with
your new 'baby'. I hope you will be as happy with yours as I am with mine.

Amos,

I'm taking the same path. I really like
step sequencers but Cubase5 just keep doing
weird stuff. So i thought about Ableton Live for
Audio since i work in a sampler kind of style
with Cubase anyways.

Hey Simon,

Gotta say, Live is the software equivalent of the MD - by which I mean, it's
simple, logical, effective and it gets the job done with the minimum of
fuss. The included fx are also very good (I find no need for third party
plug ins). Download the demo and you'll see what I mean. Finally there are
companies like Elektron and Ableton making products that do not get in the
way of the creative process. Hoorah!! =0)

I tend to work in a similar way with Logic, but I do *some* midi
sequencing, so that and the lack of VSTi support in Ableton keeps me from
using it as my main software.

I keep it running on one of my auxilliary PCs sync'ed to my main one
running logic, and that works quite well.

Yep, same way of working.
I will use cubase5 for midi sequencing with
LIVE for audio. Too bad Live can't midi seq.
