Ive bought a MD this week :) What a wicked machine !!! But after trying that note copy/paste funktion my MD hangs up...! I cant use the selection wheel, scale-button and drum buttons. Have I done something wrong or is it a bug in the OS? If so, when will it be fixed?? Help me, please! I found nothing about that bug in this mailing list. I seem to recall this bug occuring for some a long time ago; but I've heard nothing of it in quite a while. try this: - if your machine isn't new, then make sure that you have the most recent OS by checking www.machinedrum.com; if not, then install that - otherwise, try doing a factory reset (hold function at startup to access the menu for it) and see if the problem still occurs; if so, contact Elektron good luck! This has happened to me before. I'm sure it was on the bug list sent to elektron. I'm also sure I sent an email to elektron. This hasn't happened to me in a while. I'm not sure if it is because I haven't copied nor pasted any notes recently. It is a bug. You should notice all the parameters of the note are all highlighted when you hold the button. I suggest emailing elektron about this. At least they'll know more than one person has this problem. Oh, and make sure you have the latest OS. 1.02b I think. You should notice > all the parameters of the note are all highlighted when you hold the > button. question: does this occur when you copy the first trig in a pattern? one that has been set with parameter locks using realtime recording? because I noticed (yet I forgot to mention this in the bug list) that when I realtime record something in the MD, the first trig has nearly all of its parameters locked, whether I was changing them during the recording or not. this gets to be quite annoying if I'm still tweaking the overall sound of the track, as one note will have the old values locked to it. anyway, maybe this is related to the copy/paste error since you said the copied note will reflect similar behavior... OK... Ive tried several things... My OS is the latest version 1.12b Machinedrum mostly hangs up if any note with parameter lock is pasted in recording mode. Sometimes it also happens if one or two notes without parameter lock are pasted. And it doesnt matter if the MD is running or not. I tried to change only one parameter, I tried while MD was running and stopped, but the bug always occures. It even happened in classic mode! I think the bug is only related to the copy/paste funktion, regardless wether the parameter locks. Now Ive done a factory reset. Since that -> no more hang up! I hope I dont have to do this often... May be you should try to paste with only the NOTE+PASTE buttons, without touching the FUNCTION button. I encountered the bug, and this seems to solve the problem.
