> Yeah, but the question remains, what equipment did you not like? ------- compressors, reverbs, 2 drum modules (and some ive forgotten about, im an old guy!). all of em simply stopped working sooner or later. i maintain my gear well, and i do expect a degree of malfunction. the thing which tipped the balance for me was spending a small fortune on the DM Pro drum module and then having it pop twice on paying sessions. ive since sampled all the sounds i want from it, and unsuccessfully tried to sell it. id like to be more supportive of alesis, i do appreciate the design and intention, but given my track record with them i cant. in contrast, i owned an akai s1000 for over ten years, hammered it almost every day, and not once did it fall over. sigh.... i dont like to berate equipment manufacturers but this is my experience. ------ anyway, on a more positive note....you've checked out the motu 828 and are impressed? when you say its around 20% better than the vx pocket, what do you mean by that? andy
