This works only with keyboard sounds where the sample triggered second is the same zone as the first. Totally sucks. I once asked the list the same question in a different way: Why won't EXS instruments glide? Because of the same problem you're pointing out. I consider this a major oversight, and I hope someone out there (hint-hint Emagic) is listening to these criticisms. All notes should glide into each other in a sample kit (or at least per-layer so I can do some real-sounding frickin' guitar licks) AND by the same token, cut each other off if retriggered in monophonic mode. Thanks for bringing this up. It's another forgotten problem than I'm sure would have resurfaced in my kit constructions over time, the next time I attempted to glide the sampler most likely...
