What you wrote above suggested something else though -- it sounded as if you were 'composing' a new instrument in the Instrument Editor. In _that_ case you have to save the instrument and then load it in the EXS before you can play/hear it. >It will not even load the factory EXS instruments. If your instrument files (.exs) are in the Sampler Instruments folder they appear in the instrument list. And if they do so, the EXS should find the samples automatically. How about trying the Project Manager: open it, and find all unresolved file references for all EXS instruments.
