No, do yourself a favor and don't make this mistake. Use both if you 
can afford it. I still have a lot of hardware machines in my studio and 
each of them is extremely useful in its own way, cause every hardware 
sampler has its own characteristic sound you absolutely won't be able 
to get with any software samplers. Make them complement each other, 
find what stuff each of them is especially good at, sample one with the 
other then process those samples with filters and stuff, layer the same 
(or similar sounding) programs played from different samplers, do 
whatever your imagination tells you and after some months/years of 
extensive experimenting you'll get that special sound for your music. 
Consider this a "trade secret of an old sampler geek" :-) , cause 
that's how I got that special sound for my own stuff :-) .
