You can fix this by shortening the name and adding > ".exs" at the end. And then you should see it in your EXS24 menu. > Gary Pozner Gary, Are there differences in the programs provided for the EXS on the SAM website? I just converted them off the CDs using CDXtract and they seem to work fine. Any advantages to the Web EXS progs? What I found with using either the web lot or the EXS converter is that you get a lot of options in one big folder and finding things was not all that easy. In using CDXtract, I set up distinct folders for each subcategory and it made getting to the program I wanted much quicker i.e. Main(close) / keyswitches, Main(close) / Modwheel X-fades. Another HUGE problem when you do any kind of reorganization with Project Manager or Redmatica¹s EXS Manager is the sample names for Close, Medium and Far miked instruments are identical. So in reorganizing it is possible to mix far samples with near and really mess things up. What I do is keep each distance set in separate folders, both programs and samples. That way you can organize or relink using specific target folders and keep things in order. Don¹t make the mistake of trying to relink or reorganize the whole library at once! Disastah!
