If you listen to Future Sound Of London - "Paupa New Guinea", Enigma - "Sadeness", Deep Forest - "Savanah Dance", Dead Can Dance - "Persian Love Song", Tori Amos - " Caught A Lite Sneeze " and Several Songs from Massive Attack you will hear a good portion of the samples from the Symantic Spaces and Karma. They do use alot of organic kits both played by a drummer and sampled. Then you will just have to experiment with the FX till it sounds similar. I have tried the same approach to get something that sounds similar to their drums but so far have been unsucessfull. Since most of their sampled drums are copywritten I don't think it will be very likly for them to put out a sample CD. You can go to the conjure one website and ask Rhys if he would do something like that. He reads the posts quite often.
