Hi You got to be carefull with potential latency problem; I don t know the size of your internal drive, but have you thought about making a partition and keeping it ³inside the box² ? If your drive is not big enough, seriously think about replacing it with another one instead of getting external. I m not saying FW is not good, but since size and power consomption seems to be of an importance for you, can t beat internal drive for speed and space ! If you do go external, lacie is always very reliable and lately, they came up with firmware upgrade improving both FW 400 and 800.
