I will use any opportunity to warn potential customers of NI products that they buy them at their only peril. It would be wise to visit the NI forums before you buy anything from that company. Particularly beware of their "little brother" products like Reaktor Session and particularly Kompakt. These products don't work to any useable spec with a Mac on OSX with PTools and I'm not sure if Session is working in Logic yet. When I bought it, I did so under the impression that it did. It didn't. That they advertise it to do so is criminal. That they sell Kompakt as workable under RTAS is criminal. This is a company with no tech support other than their forum. If someone feels like answering then you are lucky. They usually don't bother and this method works well for them. People usually just give up and lay down (or bend over) Cyril, I'm sure musos are not meant to be embroiled in such soul destructive dialogues with software manufacturers. The customer/manufacturer paradigm has changed with the advent of software and it's unfinished "not quite compatible yet" nature. In short, these guys can get away with murder............at the moment. On the one hand we celebrate the potential and the promise of what they offer, and being the excitable creative types that we are, we jump in and purchase. On the other hand we find ourselves in the midst of a slanging match with the software manufacturers and their agents amongst our lists. A total waste of energy and truly counter productive. I have no idea if your beef is with QLSO or NI. If you are going to fight then fight hard and do so on as many lists as possible. Fuck them and good luck to you. Phil Buckle.
